{"id":682,"date":"2025-07-29T10:05:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T09:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/texerenetwork.com\/trai\/?p=682"},"modified":"2025-07-29T10:05:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T09:05:10","slug":"call-for-trai-committee-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/texerenetwork.com\/trai\/2025\/07\/29\/call-for-trai-committee-members\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for T*RAI Committee Members"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Trans* Research Association of Ireland (TRAI) is seeking a Treasurer-Secretary and Media Manager to join our voluntary Committee for a term lasting from September 2025 to September 2027*. The Treasurer-Secretary and Media Manager will work closely with the Chair and Vice-Chair to develop and establish T*RAI as a key research network in Ireland. We encourage applications from PhD candidates, independent researchers, and early-career researchers, and priority will be given to trans applicants. Please submit a 300\u2013500-word expression of interest and a CV to <a href=\"mailto:transresearchireland@gmail.com\">transresearchireland@gmail.com<\/a> by <strong>the 11th of August <\/strong>for consideration!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These positions will entail approximately 3-5 hours a week of independent time commitment, with additional time commitment in the lead-up to events such as roundtables or symposiums. Specific responsibilities can be found below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Treasurer-Secretary<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manages email inbox<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Writes and circulates newsletter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tracks membership data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manages funding and finances, including coordination with faculty liasions where necessary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Represents T*RAI at events etc. when needed\/possible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attends Zoom committee meetings (between 0-2 monthly, depending on network events)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Takes and circulates committee meeting notes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Media Manager<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manages social media with 1-2 posts per month and curates following of relevant academic, community members and organisations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manages website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arranges photography for events when necessary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Makes visual designs when necessary (posters etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Circulates events on social media<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manages blog schedule and edits blog posts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Represents T*RAI at events etc. when needed\/possible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attends Zoom executive committee meetings (between 0-2 monthly, depending on network events)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>*This is our current board term.
